Beard Tongue

Foxglove beardtongue is a herbaceous perennial native to central and eastern North America. The leaves of the cultivar 'Husker Red' are beet-red in spring, maturing to green with purple tints. In late spring and early summer it bears tall, raceme-like spikes of tubular white flowers tinged with purple. Use it as a cut flower, in the perennial border, or in a wildflower planting.
